Schrader's Leadership Role

For more than 165 years, Schrader has been a global leader in the design and manufacture of valve, mechanical and electronic system components and sensing technologies. This is evidenced by the fact that Schrader direct TPMS technology can be found in over 54 percent of global OEM vehicle platforms, and more than 200 million Schrader sensors are in operation as of 2012. Similar impact is evidenced in the Aftermarket, where service and repair facilities are now utilizing Schrader’s latest patent technology, EZ-SensorTM, which allows Aftermarket technicians to quickly program a single, blank replacement sensor with the proper protocols to work with the particular vehicle type under repair.

As the industry’s premier TPMS manufacturer, Schrader continues to champion the life-saving technology globally, actively participating in the drafting of the original TREAD Act legislation and helping to educate and inform legislators, consumers, automobile manufacturers and the Aftermarket service and repair communities. Most recently, Schrader executed the industry’s first wide-scale, global public awareness campaign to raise awareness about tire pressure monitoring systems and to stress the importance of proper tire pressure. This public relations campaign included a comprehensive TPMS Web site with three distinct for drivers, to address specific training and service needs of the aftermarket, to assist original equipment manufacturers with quality questions and technology-based decisions.
