FROM TUBELESS TYRE VALVES TO TPMS
The past several years have seen a strong increase in demand for electronic equipment to improve driving and vehicle safety. Tyre pressure is an important safety element in this because of its effect on car performance and traction. In 2000, United States legislation (TREAD Act) obliged all manufacturers to equip their new cars with a system that alerts the driver if a tyre is under-inflated. Under-inflated tyres increase fuel consumption by approximately 6%. This recently led the European Commission to make TPMS systems compulsory beginning in November 2012. Please use our on-line TPMS catalogue to choose the correct TPMS sensor for your needs.
